Wood update

My friend Piotr (who helped me to get the veneers) have informed me that it is Sapele (http://www.wood-database.com/lumber-identification/hardwoods/sapele/). Which confirms the smell.

Boatbuilding will resume tomorrow.

    I used a lot of sapele when I built my Navigator, most of it was used to make the seat decking. It is very nice to work with and very beautiful when varnished.

    Yes it planes very nicely. I wasted quite a lot on my stems so I am not sure if there will be anything left to varnish ;)
